Nebraska Real Estate License

Hello friends, followers, and colleagues. This is a metaphorical photo to tell you about my next road to scout…  After months of education and information gathering (like pre-pro) the State of Nebraska has issued a real estate license—to me.

Yes, really. I’ll be associated with the brokerage Nebraska Realty.    I worked within the business of motion pictures for thirty years. Firstly as a Special Effects Tech, then as various Production titles, and most recently as a Location Scout and Manager. I searched and showed potential shooting locations to movie Directors, Filmmakers, and Photographers. My goal was to help them realize their creative vision. Now I’ll be working for sellers and buyers, helping them to realize theirs…

I will do location-scouting / manager jobs while transitioning however it is a big change… I’m calling it a parallel gig but the goal is to arrive on a more solid career path. No regrets from the many gigs of film, TV, and commercial production. Since all of us filmies are life addicts for the biz, I’ll always be one. Cinemalumni.

You can follow me on InstagramTwitter, and/or LinkedIn but as always, zero pressure. Truly.

Thank you for the love, support, encouragement, and followship.

Stay safe.

Crane Migration

An amazing spectacle happens every spring in Nebraska. The annual migration of Sandhill cranes. They arrive from the south, traveling to their summer grounds in the north. They have done so for millions of years. Glorious low light and thousands of birds create settings a plenty for amazing photography. It is quite the sight for cold eyes.

Drop by my brief post about The Crane Migration on

What a great backdrop for a movie. Oh, why yes, Jamie does have a screenplay that is set during this time.  Agents, please do apply.

Happy Spring.
